MAHEC

This Lean In Circle was developed in January 2016 by Melissa Baker, MPH, at Mountain Area Health Education Center (MAHEC) in Asheville, NC. The purpose is to create a space for all MAHEC employees that supports both women and men in more healthy, balanced, fulfilling, meaningful lives at work and home. Monthly lunch meetings provide space for women to each take the lead presenting a topic, idea, article, or research that increases our understanding of women and leadership, as well as men and families. Participants also have time to share challenges or timely topics relevant to their careers and professional development. Additionally, it offers the opportunity to mentor and support peers.
