This group is for women in San Gabriel Valley who would like to meet together with a small group because they need accountability partners, support, and a confidential space in order to achieve their goals or expand on their successes.
[ Mission Statement ]
This will be a problem solving and group resource for small and large steps that we can individually take to develop our careers, create a more just and productive workplace, and support a full life for ourselves and our families. We will be holding our meetings in the San Gabriel Valley (Pasadena, Arcadia, Altadena, Monrovia, Alhambra, etc.).
[ Group Objectives ]
- Provide a respectful and collaborative affinity space to discuss labor/employee/work issues
- Share and develop ideas and tools for improving our work and championing our labor
- Of their own volition, each member uses the ideas and tools shared in the group to develop their own skills and abilities
- Empower ourselves to claim ownership over their our and learn the tools to drive our work towards a positive direction
[ Formats ]
Roundtable discussion: group evaluates and debates specific topic
Groupthink: members bring up a personal case for the whole group to evaluate and solve
Practical Workshop: roleplays, simulations
Assessments: self evaluation
Relational Presence Circle: members practice speaking and being a receptive audience

Work skills (e.g. communication, practical knowledge)
Bias (e.g. gender spectrum, race, religion, ethnicity, immigrant, etc.)
Navigating your organization
Managing your manager
Labor rights and regulations
Work safety (example: training, harassment, security)
Supporting ourselves and families (budgeting, finding resources)
