Inside the Program
Allyship at Work is a diversity training program that helps employees learn research-backed actions to show up as allies.
It consists of two main components: a workshop that introduces participants to the practice of allyship and small group follow-up sessions that provide accountability and support.

Follow-Up Sessions
Three follow-up sessions encourage coworkers to hold each other accountable as they build new habits and commit to practicing allyship over the long term.
In small discussion groups, participants:
- Share steps they’ve taken to practice allyship, including any allyship actions they’ve taken
- Share the challenges they’re facing and problem-solve together
- Explore more strategies for practicing allyship
- Drive ongoing accountability by making One Commitment at the end of each session

Running Allyship at Work
A step-by-step guide for moderators
Book your workshop
Invite all participants to the workshop using one of our email templates in the Company Playbook. The first workshop is four hours, but you can opt to run it in a pair of two-hour blocks. Organize the participants into small groups of 4-5 employees by level and ensure your video conferencing software gives you the ability to create breakout groups. (Refer to the Moderator Guide for more details.)
Keep up the good work!
After the half-day workshop, participants will meet with their small groups three more times to continue practicing what they’ve learned. To make it easy for participants, schedule the follow-up sessions each a month apart after the workshop. You won’t need to facilitate these sessions, but by scheduling them, you can help make sure they happen! The Company Playbook contains emails you can send to participants to remind them of the follow-up sessions.
