On October 24, 1975, Ninety percent of Iceland’s female population participated in a strike-to protest gender inequality. They did not go to their paid jobs, do any housework or child-rearing for the whole day. Five years later in 1980, Vigdís Finnbogadóttir, an Icelander was elected as the first democratically elected female president in the world. Iceland today, is the front-runner in gender equality, equal wages and respect for women. Women together, we can change the world! I am confident that this circle will belong to current and future leaders who will aid each other in achieving their personal and professional goals. We will discuss common core issues, encourage, help and learn from each other. Come join the movement!
