About our Circle

  • Looking for members

In today’s world certain struggles exist that only women are forced to face. Often women in the workplace seek to overcome these struggles alone, but working together with other women in similar situations yields better results. In this spirit, I am proposing a new group within the Department of Residence Life which will meet and discuss these specific issues that impact our female professionals. Our department is full of strong female professionals, and I believe we need a medium to support one another and develop each other to be the best professionals we can. We will meet monthly over lunch at varying campus locations. During that time, we will discuss articles and pressing issues facing women in the workplace (higher education, residence life, student affairs, etc.), and how we can support each other in response to varying situations. Each meeting will have at least one specific article/webinar/etc selected in advance and distributed to members prior to the meeting, with the hope that members can arrive ready to begin discussion.

How it works

Circles are small groups of women who come together—online or offline—for real talk and peer support.

Why join a Circle?

We all need a safe space for real talk, inspiration, and support. Right now, we need community more than ever.
