About our Circle

  • Looking for members

The Women's Fund Miami-Dade Health & Well-Being: Mental Health, Substance Abuse & Suicide Prevention Impact Network. The "Undervalued Social Work in Mental Health" circle brings together community members to develop resources and raise awareness in our communities about the burnout/ passion fatigue of social workers in the mental health field. This is due to low wages, high case load, female-dominated-sexist system and undervalued social work. We hope to tackle this issue by addressing the root causes such as sexism, racism, homophobia and individualism, increase funding to support workers and their own mental health, and move towards universal healthcare to improve resources. Join this group if you want to come together with community partners to create more robust solutions to raise awareness about mental health and well-being.

How it works

Circles are small groups of women who come together—online or offline—for real talk and peer support.

Why join a Circle?

We all need a safe space for real talk, inspiration, and support. Right now, we need community more than ever.
