The Shakti Peace Circle is an exploratory cohort: it is an extension of the Shakti Leadership Circles initiated by Nilima Bhat. A few of us gathered at Madhuban near the Himalayan foothills with Nilima in Sep 2015 to explore conscious leadership rooted in 'Shakti' - the Sanskrit term for Power, anchored in and expressed through the feminine energies. It is important to note here that the term 'Shakti', in our context, is non-denominational and does not attach itself to any religion. Rather, it encompasses the power that resides in all of us in the form of our feminine energies. One of our collective dreams was to take the concept of Shakti Leadership forward into various areas of our lives and work and the Shakti Peace Circle is one of the manifestations of this dream. Through my firm Exult! Solutions, I have been working on creating compassionate organizations - integrating peacebuilding processes into organizational transformation and learning. Our circle will attempt to explore frameworks proposed by Nilima and evolve/integrate them into the space of peacebuilding, particularly in the corporate space. My hope is also to co-create newer frameworks to add to Shakti Leadership so as to create a symbiotic dance between these circles. - Rukmini Iyer, Founder, Exult! Solutions (www.exult-solutions.com)

Circles are small groups of women who come together—online or offline—for real talk and peer support.
We all need a safe space for real talk, inspiration, and support. Right now, we need community more than ever.
