This circle is to support and grow leadership qualities for women associated with Ole Miss and other girls raised in the south (GRITS). As Southern women, we face unique challenges taking on leadership roles because of our presumed persona of gentility and submission. Women with ambition often get the moniker of bossy, or worse, making upward mobility difficult. Gaining respect as a female leader in a male dominated environment can be disheartening and it takes courage to stand up and stand out.
