Speaking to several people recently in the Customer & Enterprise transformation team, and reflecting on my own experiences - as well as the survey we did recently on diversity and inclusion that highlights women returning from maternity leave feeling like they’re passed over for opportunities - it occurred to me that we could set up a “lean-in circle” for mutual support. This is a global initiative, started by Sheryl Sandberg, COO of Facebook, from her book “Lean In”. “Circles are small peer groups who meet regularly to learn and grow together—and they're changing lives. In a recent survey of our community, 85% of members credited their Circle with a positive change in their life. Thousands of Circles exist all around the world.” Objectives are to: 1. Provide a means for offering mutual, peer support at a very specific time in a working woman’s life 2. Combat loneliness with a friendly chat 3. Offer real work help and contacts 4. A safe place to vent when its needed! Please do let me know of others who may benefit from getting involved with this and we can widen the invite…
We’re always looking for new members. Join today to be a part of Lean In’s global community.
Circles are small groups of women who come together—online or offline—for real talk and peer support.
We all need a safe space for real talk, inspiration, and support. Right now, we need community more than ever.
