About our Circle

  • Looking for members

Dear members, are you interested in finding a mentor or - even better - becoming a mentor? Sincere and inspiring feedback makes a difference. Many members of our International Business Women Community have been looking forward to a mentoring opportunity and here it is! This new Mentorship-Circle is specially dedicated to match pairs of mentors/mentees within our community for the next business year 2018/19. If you wish to participate, here is how it works: Become a MEMBER of the Mentorship-Circle (and of International Business Women Chapter and Circle if it is not already done, feel free to invite friends or colleagues) Being available for FACE-TO-FACE MEETINGS in the Paris region Commit to having at least 4 meetings between mentor and mentee throughout the up-coming year, which means minimum every quarter year. Be open to listen to suggestions and opinions, be conscious and respectful in expressing sincere opinions and advice and as the most important, to keep strictly confidential any details that are being discussed between mentor and mentee. Send me an e-mail with a short description of what you are looking for (becoming a mentor / becoming a mentee; preferred languages for easy communication; your business background, how many years of experience you have in your profession). Put "Mentor" or "Mentee" in the subject of the e-mail! The subscription to the circle will be open until end of July 2018 and in consequence I will match pairs. (Pairs will be certainly mixed between different professions, age and nationality.) I will organize a KICK-OFF MEETING at the rentrée in September, where all circle members get the opportunity to meet. In the course of the year, I will organize a separate meeting for each peer group (the group of mentees at one time, and the group of mentors at another time) in order to exchange on the experience made during the mentorship. This Circle is definitely open to REVERSE MENTORSHIP, which means young professionals can apply for being a mentor for a senior professional and a senior professional can be a mentee. You can also send two e-mail requests to me, to become a mentor to one person and to be mentored by another person. In case you have any further question or comment, please feel free to ask! Best regards Barbara

How it works

Circles are small groups of women who come together—online or offline—for real talk and peer support.

Why join a Circle?

We all need a safe space for real talk, inspiration, and support. Right now, we need community more than ever.
