Changing employment laws that affect women
One woman in each state to have the courage to email or visit your state and local government representatives to talk about new rule proposals that affect workplaces. Women represent 47% of the workforce and have a harder time getting hired, promoted, and supported. Together lets change that. Surveys say that it will take 12-years from now to change the work environment. Why? Who controls that outcome? We are 47% of the workforce. In most states a woman who complains about being treated poorly will be fired 50% of the time. But what if we can change that outcome? In most states discrimination against women means very little in comparison to other sorts of discrimination. But it hurts just the same emotionally, economically, and in our careers.
