Born and raised in the San Francisco Bay Area, Kathie Fitzpatrick is a Baby Boomer who grew up appreciating the region's wealth of color and natural beauty. From seeing the region's now-famous attractions to taking family vacations to the beaches in northern California. Kathie had wonderful childhood memories in the San Francisco area, including her father Henry taking her to lunch at the well-known Cathay House in Chinatown when she was a little girl, her mother Ruby taking her and the siblings to the historic "Playland at the Beach," where the famous 18-foot character "laughing Sal" greeted everyone who arrived, the San Francisco Zoo, and Golden Gate Park.
