LeanIn could mean many things. It could mean throwing your hat in the ring, claiming your space in the world. It could also mean taking the ownership to decide how you want to lead your life. LeanIn is about a mindset - and therefore it has to start early in life. GirlsInCharge is about helping young girls (age 8 to 18) realize that they are complete human beings in themselves, and they are incharge of their lives. It is about creating the right mental mode, providing the tools and skills to young girls from different backgrounds so that they take charge of their own lives when the time comes. GirlsInCharge is not only about empowerment, it is also about ownership. The membership of GirlsInCharge is open to driven and committed women who are inspired by this cause of grooming young girls. It is also open to young girls (teenagers) who can be role-models and influencers in their peer group.
