BPW Europe represent 18 000 women in 32 countries. We work to promote equal opportunities and status for women in the economy, in civil society and in political life. Two of our advocacy areas are: the gender pay gap and equal representation of women in leadership positions. We address these issues specifically with the “Equal Pay Day” and “Women on Boards” campaigns. We work closely with European institutions as well as the United Nations, and actively contributed to the United Nations Charter on “Women’s Empowerment Principles” (launched in 2010) to empower women to participate fully in the workplace, the job market and in the community.
