Our mission
We aim to build the new generation of authentic young women leaders, forward thinking and collaborative across Africa. Together, we can Blossom...
Setting up Blossom Clubs in all secondary schools across Africa comes from the idea that women need to be empowered at an earlier stage of their life to be real agents of change. Indeed, empirical studies show that by middle school, girls are 25% less likely than boys to say they like taking the lead. The same pattern continues into adulthood, where women negotiate less to remain in their leadership roles, both within the public or private spheres. Through an international mentoring program, pairing girls with women in the region and globally through the Harvard Kennedy School Alumni network, our Blossom Girls will be equipped with the tools to build leadership skills, learn to communicate with assertiveness, take risks, know their rights and plan their career development. Blossom Girl Clubs should be ideally hosted in public and private secondary schools in Mauritius and the region but the meetings can take place outside the school during the weekends and school holidays.
We’re always looking for new members. Join today to be a part of Lean In’s global community.
Circles are small groups of women who come together—online or offline—for real talk and peer support.
We all need a safe space for real talk, inspiration, and support. Right now, we need community more than ever.
