Amina’s ‘Inspiring Aspirations’ Employability Project offers employability support to Muslim and Minority Ethnic women across Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Perth. Empowering and supporting women, we aim to make paid employment, self-employment, volunteering, training and learning opportunities more acceptable, accessible and sustainable for the women we work with. Throughout the year the project offers: Tailor made employability training programmes English conversation classes Esol for employment Personal development workshops eg confidence, dealing with anxiety, presentation skills Support and Grow events eg starting up your own business, speed mentoring, A-Z jobs One to one support sessions which include Skills/Strengths recognition Setting goals CV and cover letter Searching for jobs Completing job applications Interview tips and techniques Volunteering/work experience Securing a job in today’s economic climate is a challenge for anyone, particularly for our women, many whom face complex barriers. Through our personalized support we empower women to recognize and develop their ability, skills, self-confidence and potential; equipping them with tools, techniques and the necessary knowledge to impress employers and organisations alike.
