Our mission
SC WIL’s mission is to move South Carolina forward – socially, economically, educationally, and environmentally – through information, connection, and engagement of women in leadership.
We believe that as more women with diverse and inclusive perspectives step up to lead and govern, gender, racial, and community equity can become reality. We cannot expect women to overcome institutional, socio-economic, and cultural barriers to leadership without first building the confidence, networks, and skillsets to do so. Our Circles help women from all backgrounds overcome barriers to leadership by coming together to network, learn, mentor each other, and expand the reach of their collective resources. Circles guide women through their personal and professional leadership journeys by finding the right leadership fit for them. We are building Circles in Aiken, Beaufort/Hilton Head, Low Country/Charleston, Upstate, Lakelands/Greenwood, Midlands, Pee Dee, Catawba/Rock Hill, Grand Strand/Myrtle Beach
