What are Lean In Circles?
Circles are small groups of women who meet regularly to learn new skills, network, and encourage each other. Circles can be groups of friends, co-workers, neighbors—anyone at all.
Why Join a Circle?
Because Circles are a place where women can be unapologetically ambitious, give voice to our dreams and get the push we need to start chasing them. They’re a place to share ideas, learn skills, and seek advice. Most of all, they’re a place to help each other become our best selves.
Whatever your goal—whether you’re working toward a promotion or building your confidence, reentering the workforce or starting a business—your Circle will help you get there.
I’m such an introvert, but being a Circle leader has made things totally different for me. It has definitely helped build my confidence. Now I can actually say that I’m a leader.”
—Julene Allen, Circle Leader, Lean In Women of Color
We started off by inviting our own friends and friends of friends to our meetings. Slowly, once people saw what we were doing with our Circle, they wanted to be part of it.”
—Abir Abdul Rahim and Sarah Chen, Circle Leaders, Lean In Malaysia
When one of our members was struggling to find a job, for example, our Circle jumped in to help with interview prep and to make introductions.”
—Nuala Murphy, Circle Leader, Lean In Belfast
How Circles work
We provide all the materials you need - including skill-building videos, discussion guides, and worksheets on topics from negotiating your salary to discovering your strengths.
Women in your group meet once a month to support each other and learn new skills.
Circles are everywhere. We’re a community of women who meet in nearly every country and at some of the largest companies.
Circles can meet over coffee at your home, in a lunch series at work, or in virtual meet-ups online.
And we know they work: 86% of women in Circles say their group has made a positive impact on their life.
How Circles take shape
Circles are as unique as the women who start them. But they’re all about accomplishing more—together.
