Kasturi is born out of the need to enhance the connection between producers and consumers of agriculture around the world, so as to make the agri-sector more sustainable and healthful. We are currently being supported by the Tata Chemicals Society for Rural Development (TCSRD). It is structured to be a pioneering collective of women coach agripreneurs (called Kalyaani) who will create a ripple effect of enterprise by coaching others in agri-business. The initiative will eventually sustain as an independent organization founded on co-operative principles.
Identify, recognise and promote women agripreneurs including farmers, marketers, food business entrepreneurs, etc. who are willing to take on the role of coaches and promote agricultural enterprise in their regions
Function as a collective based on co-operative principles that gives voice to the under-represented, yet highly valuable and productive section of women agripreneurs
Create, collate and distribute self-leadership and entrepreneurial learning content relevant to women agripreneurs digitally on the web and mobile platforms to support productivity and growth of agri-enterprises.
